Pelvic Health Physiotherapy

Pelvic health physiotherapy is available to assess and treat pelvic health conditions and concerns like leaking or incontinence, urinary urgency and frequency, pelvic pain including painful intercourse, pre-natal and post-partum health, pelvic organ prolapse, post surgical rehabilitation and other concerns. Physical examinations may include both external and internal pelvic exams. Approaches used to treat pelvic health concerns including manual therapy, exercise, and education on conditions affecting pelvic health. 

 

Manual Therapy

Treating the whole body through hands-on techniques to address position and movement problems to enhance the body's natural ability to heal itself. Treatments may include cranial sacral therapy, myofascial techniques, and joint mobilization. Mobilization of joints and tissue is used in an attempt to decrease pain caused by joint dysfunction, muscle spasm, muscle tension and other structural problems.
